Altaf Bukhari declares open final round of 8th silver Rolling Trophy at GPGCW Gandhinagar | KNO

JAMMU, MARCH 26 (KNO) : Minister for Finance, Education, Labour and Employment declared open the Final Round of 8th Annual Inter-State (Northern Zone) Declamation Contest (Silver Rolling Trophy), here this morning at Government PG College for Women (GPGCW) Gandhi Nagar.

Contestants from Jammu and Kashmir and Northern states colleges of the country participate in the annual Silver Rolling Trophy instituted by the J&K Governor, NN Vohra in the year 2010. Principal Secretary Higher Education Department Dr Asgar Samoon was Guest of Honour and Director Colleges Prof Z A Chat was presiding officer at the inaugural function of the final round of the contest. A galaxy of university, College faculty and academicians from state universities were present on the occassion.

The Final round of the contest witnessed debate on the topic “demonetization a success or failure’ which was adjudged by a team of academicians representing different higher education institutions of the state. Earlier, principal of the host college Prof (Dr) Koushal Smotra, gave a resume of the activities featuring the contest organised by GPGCW Gandhi Nagar annually since 2010. (KNO)
